High School Program Positions
Student U's high school program is designed to help students successfully transition to high school and prepare to be competitive college applicants. High school students are paired with in-school advocates who monitor their academic progress. Students are given the opportunity to participate in a Summer Academy and internship program during the summer, as well as, receive assistance in finding other summer enrichment opportunities that fit their interests. Last but not least, all high school students participate in periodic local and out of state college tours.
The Summer Academy is a four week enrichment program designed to offer students classes in math, English, social studies and science at an accelerated pace, as well as, career oriented elective options. The internship program works with community organizations to place Student U students in summer volunteering positions which match their skill set and interests. If you have any questions, please contact the High School Program Director, Alexandra Zagbayou, by email or phone (919 267-3958).
